% match — not popularity

An algorithm built on shared experience

Every post and every suggestion carries a quiet match badge — calculated from your MS type, treatments and symptoms. The closer the colour gets to green, the more your profiles overlap. No follower counts, no verified ticks, no algorithmic guesses about what you "engage with"

What's inside

A small social app, built to help you live with MS

No engagement loops. No "viral" content. Four features, all in service of the same question: who's been here, and what did they figure out?

01 · Feed

Your feed, tuned to people like you

weMS ranks posts by your MS type, treatments, symptoms and mobility. You never see the same post twice until all newer posts are read — so you stop scrolling when there's nothing new.

02 · Research

Share trusted reading, not screenshots of screenshots

Tick Research on a post to attach a source URL. Others can repost verified sources to spread them further — so the good papers travel, and rumours don't.

How it works

Complete your profile in 4 steps

No invite codes, no waiting list. Set up takes about three minutes. You can skip any field and add it later

01

Create an account

Email + password, or sign in with Google. Pick a display name — a pseudonym is perfectly fine.

02

Fill in your MS profile

Type, diagnosis year, treatments, symptoms, mobility. Skip what you'd rather keep to yourself.

03

Pick your visibility

Field by field — public, followers only, or private. You can change any of it anytime.

04

Find your people

Your feed and your suggestions both land on day one, ranked by how closely each profile matches yours.

weMS is a peer community, not medical advice

Nothing posted on the platform is medical advice. Always talk to a qualified clinician before making treatment decisions. We do not host clinicians, ads, or sponsored content.

Frequently asked

The questions every new member asks

If yours isn't here, write to support@we-ms.net.

Do I need to have MS to join?

Not strictly. Caregivers and close family are welcome — pick "None — I don't have MS" during onboarding. We surface a small label on your profile so peers know your context. Researchers, journalists, advertisers and clinicians acting in a professional capacity are not allowed.

How is the % match calculated?

It's a Jaccard similarity over your MS type, your treatments and your reported symptoms — the same algorithm used in the suggestion rail and the feed ranker. The hue shifts continuously from amber at low match to green at high match. It updates the moment you edit your profile.

Is it really free?

Yes. weMS is funded by one person plus an occasional tip via the support card. There are no ads, no premium tier, and no plans for either. Donations go directly to MS associations — they don't pass through us.

Who can see my MS profile?

You decide field by field — public, followers only, or private. The default is "followers only" on treatments and symptoms, and "public" on MS type. You can flip any of it at any time, and export or delete everything in Settings.

Which languages are supported?

English, Italian, French, Spanish and German at launch. The product picks your browser language; you can switch from Settings. Posts can be translated inline — your text never leaves the page until you press the button.

Can I delete my account?

From Settings → Privacy. Deletion permanently removes your account, MS profile, posts, comments, likes, saves and reposts. Backups are rotated within 30 days. No "are you sure?" loops — one form, password confirmation, done.
